Locating a excellent hotel when you’re travelling in Virginia Beach isn’t always straightforward, because you will find so much choice! Okay, you can choose something out of the same Virginia Beach handbook that everybody and their friend has used for the past few years, but that doesn’t suggest you will have a very nice experience (the truth is, it’d practically ensure a dreadful one!). As an alternative, it is a good idea to do a bit of homework, using your close friend the Web. Locals will always know the very best hotels in their own city, just what the best suites are, and the right occasions to go to their chosen parts of the city. Nevertheless, you ought not go up to anyone you happen across in the airport terminal in Virginia Beach, expecting their help. So alternatively, we’ve put together this short list of our 3 favorite hotels in Virginia Beach for you. They are the ones we would suggest to our close friends when they come to visit – but because we don’t want you to imagine we’re simply being biased, below are the opinions from Yelp.com:

This is one incredible Hampton Inn! The view from your room and private balcony is exquisite! You are literally 1 minute away from the beach. The rooms are very, very nice and the staff was unbelievable. Incredible restaurant, too! The lunch prices were amazing and the wait-staff was as friendly as you will ever experience. I was blown away by everything this property had to offer. Great parking, great food, great price, wonderful staff, and a view that is absolutely heavenly. This is one of the best beaches I have ever been to and I have been to quite a few. We will be back!
About the restaurant- we never ate dinner there, only lunch. We ate lunch there every day and the experience was always fantastic. Great, family-friendly lunch fare at an awesome price!

Brand spankin’ new with all the amenities. I really enjoyed the mini cabana bar at the pool. There is also a beach shuttle for those who are interested. Overall, very clean and nice hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. There are also great lattes in the cafe downstairs.

3. Turtle Cay Resort
600 Atlantic Avenue
Virginia Beach, VA 23451

The resort itself was very nice. Spacious room with full kitchen. The room as well as the common areas were clean and the staff was pleasant. Check in and out was quick and easy and the garage was easily accessible. A few things that need work, the sleeper sofa was very uncomfortable for the kids, they don’t use fitted sheets so it is a battle to keep the sheet you are sleeping on straight, tucked and comfortable at night and they don’t have a fitness center. Although there is one across the street, it is $5 per person, per day. Overall, it is a good hotel
